SHAW
Shaw Contracting is one of Tasmania's major civil construction and contracting companies — building Tasmania's future across roads, earthworks and infrastructure. They needed their Code of Conduct, a foundational governance document, designed as a polished 20-page booklet that reflected the Shaw brand and, crucially, that employees, contractors and suppliers would actually read and absorb. I designed a bold, clear, on-brand document that makes twelve conduct principles easy to navigate and genuinely engaging.

Turning a corporate Code of Conduct into a clear, on-brand document people will actually read.
A code of conduct is essential but easy to ignore — too often a dense wall of policy text that no one opens twice. For a large, field-based workforce spread across worksites, that's a real problem: the document only does its job if people engage with it. The challenge was to take serious, detailed governance content — twelve conduct principles, legal and safety obligations, reporting and whistleblower pathways — and give it structure, clarity and personality. It needed to feel professional and credible, but approachable enough for a team on the tools, all while carrying Shaw's distinctive brand.
